Itinerary

Day 1: Delhi to Jim Corbett Park
Start from Delhi early morning for Jim Corbett National Park. Reach Jim Corbett by noon and check into the hotel amidst the jungle. Later after lunch, move towards Kosi River and spend few pleasant hours at the bank of the river. Come back to the hotel and get caught up in the spirit of the magical place and have your dinner, overnight stay.

Day 2: Jungle Safari & Ranikhet 
Get up early morning and start your day with a cup of tea/coffee and get ready for the amazing Jungle Jeep Safari ( timings: 6:30 to 10:00). While your jeep passes through the deep jungle there is a strong probability to spot the Royal Bengal Tiger roaming around. Keep your cameras at the ready and capture the rare images of tigers, elephants, deer and various other wildlife species and migratory birds while they are resting in their habitats. Later come back to your hotel and after late breakfast leave for Ranikhet, which is about 4 hrs from the Park. Enjoy the journey as you drive up to the Kumaon hills. The green meadows and placid surroundings make Ranikhet a unique and beautiful hill station. Check-in to your hotel. Ranikhet gives you the first view of the snow-covered mighty Himalayas from a distance. Bristling with good old-fashioned military atmosphere, Ranikhet is home to the Kumaon Regiment, you can visit the Military museum, old church and enjoy the pristine walk among tall conifer trees. Stay overnight in the hotel.

Day 3: Ranikhet to Kausani via Binsar

After breakfast, leave for Kausani. En-route visit Binsar- a well-known forest reserve and bird sanctuary on the Jhandi Dhar hills of Kumaon. Once the capital of the Chand Raj Dynasty. The entire region is surrounded by virgin forests of oak, rhododendron, pine and deodar making it a popular getaway for those looking for solitude and a close experience with nature. Later continue your journey to Kausani. Check-in to your hotel in Kausani, enjoy a walk into the Himalayan tea-estates. From here you can also see the 300 km panoramic view of the Himalayan peaks like Kedarnath Peak, Shivling, Trisul and majestic Nanda Devi. Have a leisure evening in chilling Kausani. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel.

 

Day 4: Kausani to Pithoragarh

Kausani provides an enchanting sunrise over the Himalayas, don't miss it. After breakfast, check-out from your hotel and leave for Pithoragarh, also popular as "Little Kashmir" of Uttrakhand. After a three hour long drive through the beautiful landscapes and green forests reach Pithoragarh. Check-into your hotel in Pithoragarh and after lunch go for half day sightseeing- visit Pithorgarh Fort, Thal Kedar and Gangolihat. Come back to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
 

Day 5: Pithoragarh Paragliding

Early morning after tea/coffee, get ready for Paragliding. Enjoy the adventure of flying above the hills at the best suitable place for Paragliding landings. Later come back to your hotel. Check-out from the hotel and leave for Ramgarh. Reach the tiny hill station with big royal Neemrana Resort. Check-into the luxurious room and have rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 6: Ramgarh to Nainital

Have a relaxed morning in Ramgarh, later check-out and leave for Nainital. About an hour drive from Ramragh is the capital of Kumaon and the most popular tourist spot- Nainital. Drop your baggage at the hotel in Nainital and enjoy the full day sightseeing of the little hill town. Visit Naina Devi temple, go for boat ride in Naini lake, zoo on the top of the hill, enjoy shopping in Mall road and Tibetan Market. Have the evening at leisure. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 7: The Lakes of Kumaon

After breakfast leave your hotel and visit Sattal- literally meaning seven lakes all the group of small lakes nested together, about 23 kms from Nainital, still untouched by modernization - one can see the natures beauty at its best. You can enjoy fishing, kayaking and boating in Sattal. You and also go for mountain cycling around Sattal. It's a thrilling experience to cycle downhill to Sattal. Later visit Bhimtal, check-in to your hotel near Bhimtal and enjoy the view from the balcony of your room. In the evening, go for walk around the lake. Overnight stay at hotel in Bhimtal.

Day 8: Bheemtal to Delhi

After breakfast, leave for Delhi. It's a 6-7 hour drive to the national capital from the Kumaon hills.

  • Winter: Novebmer to March - wonderfully clear days and cold nights, some parts of Kumaun see snowfall during Dec-Jan

  • Monsoon: July to August - cloudy sky & wetty hills

  • Autumn: September to October - best to see colourful landscapes

  • Summer: April to June - warm and dry days, peak season during summer holidays
