Day 1: Arrive in Cochin
Fly to Cochin, our representative will greet you at the airport. Reach your hotel and check in to a comfortable room. The history of Kochi goes way back and various cultural influences have left their mark in every corner of the city. Whether it is in Fort Kochi or Mattacherry, the place is teeming with art and culture.
After lunch, travel to Fort Kochi, Mattacherry and Jew Town, there are many colorful and interesting place to see and countless eating joints with world cuisine. A leisurely stroll down any one of the lanes of Kochi will bring you up close to a variety of culture and its influences.
Day 2: Cochin to Munnar (6 hrs.)
Drive through the beautiful valleys and cross serene waterfalls on the way to reach Munnar, the hill station of Kerala with beautiful weather, and scenic tea gardens. Check into your hotel, little away from the hustle bustle of crowded city. You will see lush green tea garden from your room. Enjoy a romantic walk or go for an Ayurvedic Kerala massage in the hotel in the evening before dinner.
Day 3: Munnar
After breakfast, leave for a full day tour of Munnar. See the beautiful lake of Ana Erangal Dam, visit tea museum and enjoy tea tasting. Go for elephant ride and shopping in the town. If you're a tea lover, Munnar is the place for you. Don't forget to buy local made tea packets, Kerala spices and home-made chocolates. Munnar has amazingly romantic weather throughout the day. Come back to your hotel and have the evening at leisure.
Day 4: Munnar to Thekkadi (3 hrs.)
After early breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive to Thekkady, famous for wildlife, nature treks and spice gardens. The sanctuary is centered around the 24 km large artificial lake formed by a dam across the Periyar river. It is one of the famous holiday destinations in India.
In the evening, proceed to the theatre to experience a traditional Kathakali and Kalaripayattu performances. Return to your hotel by the evening and spend the rest of the day at leisure. After a delicious dinner, stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 5: Thekkadi to Kumarakom (5 hrs.)
Kumarakom is less commercialized, less crowded and a perfect place to spend a serene day. There are beautiful paddy fields and back waters. Just check in to the luxurious houseboat, right at the back waters and enjoy romantic day. The house boat will have a First Class AC rooms, dining area, open area for sunbath and amazing food. The 22 hours full day with overnight houseboat includes Lunch, Evening tea/coffee, dinner, morning bed coffee and breakfast. On both days houseboat will be cruising through Alappuzha Backwaters for four to five hours.
Day 6: Alleppey
Enjoy one full day exploring Alleppey, nick named as "Venice of the East" by Lord Curzon during the British period is a beautiful town located in Alappuzha District of Kerala India. It is known for its backwaters, houseboats, beaches and lakes. Spend the evening at Alappuzha Beach that offers beautiful view of the Arabian Sea.
Day 7: Flight from Cochin airport (2 hrs. from Alleppey)
After a wonderful tour, say adios to the God's Own Country, with a promise to come back again.
